Bupa Great Manchester Run

The Bupa Great Manchester Run is the most attended 10k event in Britain and this year was no exception as 35,000 people descended upon Manchester to participate. On a glorious sunny day runners made their way around to the charity village where they were able to mill around some of the stands and also have the opportunity to ask the Lucozade Sport Scientist for some last minute advice. Due to the hot weather it was essential to remain hydrated, so a visit to the Lucozade Sport Performance Zone (LSPZ) provided runners with some free Lucozade Sport and Lucozade Sport with Caffeine Boost. All runners found their starter pen and, after a quick warm up session from instructors on large cherry pickers (raised platforms), they were off. At the finish line the runners were greeted with a goody bag containing Lucozade Sport and then had the opportunity to warm down properly in the LSPZ with bean bags and exercise mats available inside. Hospitality provided Team Lucozade Sport Runners the chance to grab some food, mix with some celebs and check their race time on a big screen, all with live piano and saxophone music being played in the background.
