Reebok Bristol half marathon

Over 13,000 runners took part in the Reebok Bristol half marathon on Sunday 14th September. The conditions were very hot as the participants weaved their way through Bristol. The route included running under the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge along the Portway before negociating the cobbles of Queen’s Square and the new refurbished shopping area of Broadmead before finishing just outside College Green. The winner in the men’s section was Tom Payne in a time of 01:05:48 and Birhan Dagne took the women’s race in a winning time of 01:14:18. The men’s wheelchair race was won by Jason Gill in a time of 01:01:00
