Farewell (for now)

The day is here – it’s our last post for 2012! We here at the Witness my revival towers will miss opening a Lucozade Revive and sharing a moment at 3pm each day with you all – but because we don’t want you to feel too bad that we will be sleeping off winter, we wanted to leave you today with some of the highlights from the last 6 months.

We have taken you from an advert featuring dancer Dickson Mbi from Sadler’s Wells; to sponsoring the Design Museum and taking you along to the Christian Louboutin exhibition – whilst giving you a Revive experience complete with massages and unlimited Lucozade Revive; to Revive in-store whilst shopping at Ted Baker; free Toni & Guy haircuts, through to working with some of the top bloggers and writers around the UK including: Rachel Phipps, Alex Loves, Anastasia & Duck, Charlotte Taylor and So Different, So Appealing.

Have a play around with some of our polaroid highlights below and we will be back soon!

Winter hibernation...

It is beginning to get a little colder and we here at the Witness my revival blog are going to take a break for a while, so tomorrow will be our last post for 2012. We have had a lot of fun sharing the things we like here at Lucozade Revive with you all, so tomorrow in our last post for 2012 we are going to recap on our favourite things from the last few months.

Think of us as entering into a hibernation if you will - its like we are one of these polar bears…

But we actually look more like this (because we are people, and not polar animals)

CLOUD

Whilst looking for some of the cutest umbrellas around we found this piece of art and thought -'You can get a selection of umbrellas from anywhere, but where else can you read about a cloud being rethought and revived into an art installation???'

CLOUD is a large-scale interactive sculpture by Caitlind r.c. Brown for Nuit Blanche Calgary.

cloud

CLOUD is created from 5,000 re-appropriated domestic light bulbs and is constructed from steel, metal,
pull strings, burnt out incandescent bulbs,
and illuminated compact fluorescent bulbs - CLOUD invites the viewer to wander through a rain of pull strings switching on and off lights. By manipulating the sculpture audiences activate CLOUD’s inner sphere animating light bulbs and creating the illusion of lightning on the cloud’s surface.

CLOUD was exhibited in Calgary this year as part of Nuit Blanche Calgary, which is an annual late night contemporary arts festival. We love the idea of taking something that is so normal - a cloud - and making us, as the audience re-engage with it. Reviving a rain-cloud? Lovely.

Autumnal wrapping...Part II

As promised, we have scoured the internet for you to revive your wardrobe ready for the darkness of winter. Accessories are the name of the game today - so many pretty little things to wear!

What do you think? What are your favourite purchases coming into winter?

This scarf from Whistles is one of my massive must-haves for winter. Adding interest to your outfit and keeping warm? Perfect!

A striking bracelet is key, especially as your summer tan will be looooong gone so you need something pretty on your wrist, like this one from Mango.

These tights from Liberty are a necessary indulgence. A little crazy, but necessary nonetheless.

This burgundy hat by Barbour from Liberty will be my friend during winter - with fleece lining what's not to love?

A camel fedora, like this one from Topshop is the perfect lift to a black outfit

Autumnal wrapping...

Ah bless, the chilly air of Autumn is upon us, and it is almost time for our hibernation for Winter (that's right, just like the bears).

While we are divided here at the Witness my revival tower as to which season is our favourite, there is one thing we all agree on: a new season means a new wardrobe which means happiness. Cue hours wiled away searching our fav online stores for the perfect autumnal accessory...the output of which I give you below.

Today’s blog is on our most desired coats and over the next few days we will share with you our picks of the new gloves, hats and scarves. We have done the hard work for you so you don’t have to!

Enjoy – and remember to wrap up warm!

The devil is in the (shoulder) detail with this coat from Zara - it adds interest to an otherwise plain coat

Oh Monki, I love you so. This is such a cute flattering shape and it looks so comfy and cosy!

Duck-egg blue is one of our favourite colours, light, wearable and it also makes a refreshing change from the dark palette used in Autumn and Winter. This Reiss coat is just lovely.

A black coat with a touch of detail that is extremely flattering, expertly tailored and warm. Perfect, from Whistles.
