Often its the simplest of things that we love at Witness My Revival.
London based artist Evelin Kasikov has been turning our heads using a novel and striking method of reviving portraiture.
We got turned onto Evelins work through one of our current favorite pinterest-ers Kate Spade and who commissioned a piece of Evelin's work last year.
(If you havent seen our pinterest board - click here).
Leaving canvas and paint behind Kasikov uses an identical fabric grid to build her portraits out of simple geometric shapes; stitching together threads of varying thickness and colour into series.
Kasikov also reveals further insight into the process as she includes before, after and interestingly overleaf imagery over on her Portrait Project page - where she’s posting a new work each week.
