Yesterday we gave you We Are Augustine as our recommendation to see live as the open air shows move back indoors. Today, as we peer out of the window at the grey skies, low light and drizzle, it seems only right to continue this theme and embrace the autumn. Two new bands have come to our attention that sound track this changeable time of year perfectly.
The Staves are 3 sisters from Watford who came to our attention first for their appearance on the excellent Tom Jones album "Praise and Blame" and who are now about to release their debut LP "Dead & Born & Grown". Near flawless harmonies will have swooning, so grab tickets for their UK tour while you can.

Lowlakes are one of those rare bands that can transport you to another time and place, ideally Melbourne from which they hail! Their self-titled EP is amazing but Arctic House really stands out. With lyrics that demand to be listened to, we hope they will have you floating away this afternoon. Find out more about the band here.
