We have had a lot of fun sharing the things we like here at Lucozade Revive with you all, so tomorrow in our last post for 2012 we are going to recap on our favourite things from the last few months.

Think of us as entering into a hibernation if you will - its like we are one of these polar bears…

CLOUD is a large-scale interactive sculpture by Caitlind r.c. Brown for Nuit Blanche Calgary.

CLOUD is created from 5,000 re-appropriated domestic light bulbs and is constructed from steel, metal,
pull strings, burnt out incandescent bulbs,
and illuminated compact fluorescent bulbs - CLOUD invites the viewer to wander through a rain of pull strings switching on and off lights. By manipulating the sculpture audiences activate CLOUD’s inner sphere animating light bulbs and creating the illusion of lightning on the cloud’s surface.

CLOUD was exhibited in Calgary this year as part of Nuit Blanche Calgary, which is an annual late night contemporary arts festival. We love the idea of taking something that is so normal - a cloud - and making us, as the audience re-engage with it. Reviving a rain-cloud? Lovely.

Caitlind Brown is an artist, filmmaker and collaborator living in Calgary. She has an interest in re-invigorated spaces, collaboration in all forms, and art in unexpected places.
What do you think? What are your favourite purchases coming into winter?

This scarf from Whistles is one of my massive must-haves for winter.
A striking bracelet is key, especially as your summer tan will be looooong gone so you need something pretty on your wrist, like this one from Mango.

These tights from Liberty are a necessary indulgence. A little crazy, but necessary nonetheless.

While we are divided here at the Witness my revival tower as to which season is our favourite, there is one thing we all agree on: a new season means a new wardrobe which means happiness. Cue hours wiled away searching our fav online stores for the perfect autumnal accessory...the output of which I give you below.

Today’s blog is on our most desired coats and over the next few days we will share with you our picks of the new gloves, hats and scarves. We have done the hard work for you so you don’t have to!

Enjoy – and remember to wrap up warm!

Duck-egg blue is one of our favourite colours, light, wearable and it also makes a refreshing change from the dark palette used in Autumn and Winter. This Reiss coat is just lovely.

We found the crochet work of Su Ami on a day where we are definitely in need of a dose of cuteness. And cuteness and Su Ami are definitely two things that are very closely associated.

Su Ami is a family of 5 Vietnamese crocheter's and their work is something to behold - the 'Micro Honey Bee' is their smallest piece which is made using sewing thread of only 0.2mm. Wowsers.

While street food in Britain often conjures up thoughts of burnt sausages and tea out of a Styrofoam cup, there was nothing of the sort at The 2012 British Street Food Awards last weekend in London.

Taking over the paved East London Street which houses Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, the awards were not only a culinary treat with delights ranging from Mexican Tacos to more traditional English roast chicken. Also to be enjoyed was a Gin tasting tent, grass covered streets and a dance floor.

Our personal favourites were Ginger’s Comfort Emporium and Manjit’s Kitchen.

The collaboration is a result of the three decade long friendship between Valentino and the Ballet’s director Peter Martins, and while the stilettos have been traded in to ballet points, the collection is still awash with everything we’ve come to love Valentino for – think full skirts, feathers, and of course red!

I am interested in expressing the big emotions - tragedy, ecstasy, doom." - Mark Rothko (1903-1970).

Here at Witness my revival we have always endeavoured to fill your life with beautiful things that make you think and make you smile. There is also nothing we like more than a reviving of an old idea in a new way. Sometimes, though, we need to take you back in time to show you something to improve your day - and today we are lifting your day with a little bit of Mark Rothko.

Born in Russia, he grew up in America and became a prominent figure among the New York School of painters. Mark Rothko moved through many artistic styles until reaching his signature 1950s motif of soft, rectangular forms floating on a stained field of colour. Rothko was heavily influenced by mythology and philosophy, and he was insistent (despite challenges) that his work was filled with content and brimming with ideas - in his own words, if you believed otherwise you were missing the point.

Hump Day. And the third day of orange week here at Witness my revival. It is fun looking for things that catch our eye that also use orange in some way, shape or form. Finding Le Dot, by Anthony Zinonos was a stroke of genius, we think.

Le Dot is a humourous zine created by Zinonos and is a quirky collection of photograph clippings and orange dots. The orange dots are positioned as such that the image subjects' appear to be interacting with the dot in a way that is humourous.

It made us laugh. We think it will make you laugh too.

We had so much fun doing it last week we thought we best do it for each of our Revive flavours.

So this week we are going to theme each post with Orange. Following on from Victoria Beckham's well-received show yesterday, today is a collection of New York Fashion Week pics.
